Blairsville, Ga. (October 31, 2011) The Lodge at Copperhead Veteran’s Memorial, a project that will forever link the past to the future was announced today. A ground-breaking ceremony will be held on Friday, November 11, 2011, at 11 o’clock in the morning.
This will be a way for everyone in the surrounding area to honor all men and women that have served in the United States Military Branches. The public and all United States Armed Forces personnel and veterans are invited to attend the ceremony and picnic style reception. All military, active and retired, will eat free. Reservations appreciated. The band “Crazy Heart” will perform in the Grand Hall following the picnic to conclude the special event.
Anyone in the Atlanta metro area wishing to attend can meet the escorted ride starting at The Original Pancake House, 400 & Windward Parkway, Alpharetta, GA. Cars & Motorcycles welcome. All military, active and retired, will receive a free cup of coffee, hot chocolate, or soda. The parade will depart The Original Pancake House at 9:00 am.
