On having meeting with Prabodh Mehta and senior surgeon and vice president of Lilavati Hospital; Dr. Narendra Trivedi says that the non-profit hospital will replicate its model of treating rich and poor alike in more units in Mumbai suburbs soon. Prabodh Mehta also added that Lilavati Hospital is for all whether it is rich or poor will treat in the same manner with complete health care dedication. On other hand Dr. Narendra Trivedi also added that we have been receiving many film stars among patients, but so have we been regularly treating the poorest o the poor and ordinary patients. As in the short span of time; Lilavati Hospital has achieved great popularity in all across the nation but it doesn’t fall from its motto of “More than Healthcare, Human Care”. The same medical treatment is carried for all; all the expertise available for the wealthiest is available to the poorest also. The poor section gets the same treatment as a filmstar. Same surgeons, same wards, same medical experts and free health specialist. Above of all these; we also put emphasis on carrying free patients department where they got examined by top doctors.
Reader’s Digest award, Top super specialty hospital by India today and NABH accreditation are some of the awards have honored the Lilavati hospital for its bets and quality services. Under the same Prabodh Kirtilal Mehta has also stated that two percent of our gross income will use for charitable purposes. We have 315 beds where more than a third is subsidized where we have common ward for the poor section. There is nothing like giving best treatment to richer and low treatment for poor. Our last and main objective is to care human with complete humanity as in the Mumbai train blast we treated 49 patients out of any money making motive but all the money that came during that segment got used for hospital itself.
Apart from medication we also put emphasis on research and development in the medical industry where trainees from medical segments doing super specialty research with our scientist where recently our survey on cases of stroke was published by lancet and it was led by our research director P M Dalal. In the last Prabodh Mehta along with vice president, Dr. Narendra Trivedi stated that in coming years the society will see more units of Lilavati Hospital in the different suburbs of Mumbai.
