Navrattan Blue Crete Industries Private Limited has broken ground with the Green cement production for the first time in India. The initiative is taken to promote research and manufacture this new age sustainable and high performance green cement which is derived from bio-mass, algae, sea weed, industrial waste and more. The cement has three times the compression and tensile strength as compared to that of OPC. Its manufacturing process is also less polluting and inexpensive as compared to Portland cement. The product can be manufactured in portable plants, which cost about 5% of the total capital outlay for an equivalent OPC manufacturing plant. The spokesperson of the company displayed an example to highlight the strong protective quality of Navrattan Crete cement. He placed two samples of rebar in two different plastic bottles filled with salt water. One rebar was painted with Navrattan Crete cement coating and the other was not. After three months, the water remained clear and free from dust in the bottle with the rebar painted with Navrattan Crete cement coatings, while the other bottle was clouded with rust and corrosion from the unprotected rebar.
The company is currently licensing its product to different manufacturers over different regions in India. The new venture promises to take Indian cement industry to the next level with high performance green concrete and low cost manufacturing which can be further passed on to the end consumer and business alike. “The growing economy in India is fertile ground for the launching of this newest of technology for the Green concrete formulation of Navrattan Blue Crete Cement,” said Mr. Himanshu Verma, CMD of Navrattan Blue Crete Industries Pvt. Ltd.
