BLAIRSVILLE, Ga. (April 7, 2011) - The Third Annual Rumble for Relay Motorcycle Ride to raise monies for the American Cancer Society will be kicked-off at The Lodge at Copperhead, Blairsville, GA on April 9th, with registration at 8 a.m. Tickets are $20 for riders and $10 for passengers. Ticket prices include breakfast at The Lodge at Copperhead, long-sleeved event t-shirt, treasure hunt on the Gauntlet, the new riding/driving attraction in the North Georgia mountains, and an invitation to the after party with live entertainment.

The Rumble for Relay is a fund-raiser sanctioned by the American Cancer Society. Research shows that almost everyone has been touched by cancer in some form whether through health challenges or the loss of a loved one or friend. The American Cancer Society states that one person can make a difference in the fight against cancer. The Rumble for Relay has accepted that challenge and continues to add to its' numbers each year.

Brian Fisk, spokesperson for the Rumble for Relay stated, "the charity contribution has grown from $3,200 in the first year to $5,000 last year. The 2010 event had one hundred sixty seven bikes participating. This was an increase of almost thirty percent over the previous year." When asked what the expectations were for this year, Fisk said, "to achieve our 2011 goal we would like to have 200 bikes," adding that, "everyone is invited to the Rumble for Relay whether as a volunteer or motorcyclists."

Fisk stated, "that it will take regional community involvement to achieve this year's goal."
