Yesterday, Hotel Utopia organized an event on post-Covid tourism in Digha. The event was organized at a local community hall and attended by representatives from several new and [FURL=https://utopiadigha.com/]old Digha low price hotels[/FURL]. They discussed the post-Covid scenario in West Bengal travel and tourism industry, specifically in Digha. “In post-Covid, people behave in a way that they are just free from the jail. Truly speaking, it was almost a prison-like situation for everyone. With strict restrictions on going out, people were pushed to the confinement of four-walled boxes, which they lovingly used to call their home. The travel and tourism industry took a nosedive. Everyone associated with this particular sector suffered a huge setback. We were praying for everything to take a positive turn immediately.
Now after a couple of years, things are looking up and the travel business is showing signs of bloom and boom. Digha is receiving footfalls once again. This beach town is one of the most beautiful and affordable weekend destinations for travelers from West Bengal. Our hotel is just 1 and ½ years old. We are happy to have huge, beautiful responses from travelers within a short time span. With life coming back to normalcy, we expect more travelers to visit Digha and show some responsible revelry in the beach town”, he paused for a few minutes.
The representatives from other hotels also echoed his thoughts and expectations. They were verbally and visibly happy that the pandemic had been over. “True it is that new waves are coming and many people are getting the disease despite vaccination. But it must be admitted that the situation is not serious at all and in fact, very much manageable. We are checking the vaccination certificates before letting the boarders in. These are the small steps from our end to minimize the risk of developing Covid and contain its spread as much as possible”.
Many hospital owners and CEOs, who were present at the event, revealed that they had undergone extensive renovation to attract tourists. Despite their business being down for almost 2 years, they had to carry out renovation work for property maintenance. They were hopeful about things getting better after a year or so. Though it took time for normalcy to come back and prevail, the stars finally shine on! Some hotels are undergoing extensions to accommodate a heavy rush of tourists who are in no mood to miss out on a chance of a Digha visit.
“We have different types of suits for the prospective travelers. They are free to choose from three different options according to their requirements and budget. Some facilities are common to all. These include a 24x7 escalator, WI-FI connection, parking space, dining hall, etc. We have also installed CCTV cameras. It is not meant to encroach on your privacy but to ensure your security. There is no CCTV camera in hotel rooms. Digha is a beauty in all seasons. But if you ask me and other hoteliers and restaurateurs, most of them will cheer for monsoon.
Digha beckons, are you ready to accept its invitation?”
